Best Practices for Effective Boosts
Frequency and Timing
Start conservatively: Weekly or bi-weekly rather than daily
Consider team workload: Avoid busy periods or deadline weeks
Test different times: Find when your team is most likely to engage
Be consistent: Regular timing helps build habits
Writing Effective Prompts
Edit the Template to make it more specific: "Share a customer win from this week" vs "Share a weekly win"
Provide context: Explain why this matters to the team
Make it achievable: Don't ask for overly complex responses
Keep it positive: Focus on wins, progress, and recognition
Building Engagement
Lead by example: Respond to your own Boosts regularly. Check if you have from 'Your Actions' list on the homepage
Engage with responses: React and comment on team submissions
Recognise participation: Acknowledge active contributors
Gather feedback: Ask team members about the Boostseffectiveness
Managing Multiple Boosts
Don't overwhelm: Limit to 1-2 active Boosts per team
Vary the focus: Alternate between different types of recognition
Seasonal adjustments: Adapt frequency during busy periods
Archive completed: Disable Boosts that have served their purpose
Troubleshooting Common Issues
Low participation rates:
Check timing and frequency settings
Review prompt clarity and instructions
Gather team feedback on Boost content
Consider reducing frequency or adjusting timing
Technical issues:
Verify all team members have correct email addresses
Check that participants have Mo accounts and access
Ensure mobile app users have notifications enabled
Contact support for persistent delivery issues
Response quality concerns:
Provide clearer examples in Boost instructions
Offer guidance on what makes good responses
Engage more actively with existing responses
Consider using templates with proven effectiveness
