Linking Your Mo Account to Slack - User Guide

Connect your personal Mo account to receive notifications and interact with Mo in Slack

Link your Mo account to Slack to receive Mo notifications, respond to Moments and Boosts and access Mo features directly within Slack.

Before You Start

  • Your Slack admin must have already installed the Mo app in your workspace

  • You need an active Mo account

  • Ensure you have access to both Slack and Mo
    ​

Step 1: Add the Mo App in Slack

  1. Open Slack

  2. In the left sidebar, click Apps

  3. Click Add Apps.

  4. Select Browse apps

  5. Look for Mo app in the list. If you don't see it, use the search bar at the top to search for "Mo app"

  6. Click on the Mo app tile

  7. You'll be taken to the About tab for the Mo app

Step 2: Access the Mo App Home

  1. Click on the Home tab in the Mo app

  2. You should now see the Mo app interface within Slack

Step 3: Link Your Accounts

  1. At the top of the Mo app Home tab, look for Link your account button

  2. Click Link your account

  3. You'll be redirected to Mo in your web browser

  4. Follow the on-screen prompts to confirm the account linking

  5. Complete the linking process as directed

Confirmation of Successful Linking

Once linked successfully, you'll be able to:

  • Receive Mo notifications directly in Slack

  • Comment on Moments and Boosts from within Slack

  • React to Moments and Boosts without leaving Slack

  • Quickly access different parts of Mo through Slack

What You Can Do After Linking

Receive Notifications: Get key Mo activity updates in Slack

Troubleshooting

Can't find the Mo app in Slack?

  • Confirm your admin has installed Mo in your workspace

  • Check with your Slack administrator about app availability

  • Try refreshing Slack or restarting the application

Don't see the "Link your account" button?

  • Make sure you're on the Home tab of the Mo app

  • Refresh the Mo app within Slack

Linking process fails or redirects incorrectly?

  • Ensure you're logged into Mo in another browser tab

  • Clear your browser cache and try again

  • Check that pop-ups are enabled for your browser

Not receiving notifications after linking?

  • Check your Mo notification settings

  • Verify your Slack notification preferences

  • Confirm the accounts are properly linked in the Mo app Home tab

Link button redirects but doesn't complete?

  • Make sure you have an active Mo account

  • Try the linking process from a different browser

  • Contact support if the issue persists
