Manually manage user accounts in Mo including creating users, updating information, sending invitations, and handling user lifecycle changes.
β οΈ Note: You need Admin permissions in Mo to manage users. This guide covers manual user management methods.
Accessing User Management
Go to Manage Organisation in Mo
Click Users
View all user accounts and their current status
Adding New Users
How to Add a User
Click Add User in the top right corner
Enter basic information:
First Name (required)
Last Name (required)
Email Address (required)
Language (optional, defaults to English)
Manager (optional)
External ID/Employee ID (optional)
Set invitation preference:
Check "Invite user via welcome email" to send invitation immediately
Leave unchecked to invite later
Additional fields (if applicable):
Reward Country (for rewards customers)
SSO UID (for SSO customers)
Click Save to create the basic account

Editing Existing Users
When to Edit Users
Personal information changes (name, email address)
Role updates (job title, department, manager)
Group reassignments (location changes, team moves)
Permission adjustments (promotions, role changes
Occasion updates (birth date, start date corrections)

How to Edit a User
Go to Manage Organisation β Users
Find the user you want to edit
Click the three dots next to their name
Select Edit
Update the information you need to change
Click Save to apply changes

Personal Information:
First and last name
Email address
Preferred language
External ID/Employee ID
Organisational Details:
Manager assignment
Group memberships (Location, Department, Job Title)
Start date and occasion information
Access and Permissions:
Manager permissions
Admin access
Other specific permission settings
Other Settings (if applicable):
Reward country preferences
SSO UID information
User Status
Understanding Your User's Status
Awaiting Invite/New:
User account created but not yet invited
No welcome email sent
Account remains inactive
Invited:
Welcome email sent
Activation link provided
Waiting for user to complete setup
Account has yet to be activated
Active:
User has signed into Mo and activated their account
Has access to use Mo
Resending Welcome Emails
If users haven't received or lost their invitation:
Find the user in the Users table
Click the three dots next to their name
Select "Resend welcome email"
Fresh invitation sent immediately
π Did you know? Managers are able to resend welcome emails for their teams via the manager version of the homepage.
Troubleshooting
Can't Find a User
Solutions:
Use the search function in the Users table
Check spelling of names
Search by email address instead
Verify the user account was actually created
Changes Not Saving
Common causes:
Required fields left empty
Invalid email format entered
Browser connectivity issues
Solutions:
Check all required fields are completed
Verify email address format is correct
Refresh page and try again
Clear browser cache if persistent
User Not Receiving Welcome Email
Check these issues:
Email went to spam/junk folder
Email address entered incorrectly
Email server blocking Mo emails
Solutions:
Ask user to check spam folder
Verify email address in their profile
Resend welcome email
Contact IT about email filtering
Permission Changes Not Taking Effect
Possible causes:
User needs to log out and back in
Browser cache showing old permissions
System update delay
Solutions:
Ask user to log out and log back in
Clear browser cache and refresh
Wait a few minutes for system update
Contact support if issue persists
