Note: Creating groups and uploading data requires the "Admin" permission in Mo.
1. Creating Groups and User Groupings
Before we can start uploading data into Mo, we need to create User Groups, such as the department, location, and country that your employees belong to. These groups help your colleagues see information about each other and are used in analytics. If you've already done this, go ahead and skip to CSV Uploading.
To create Groups, head to Manage Organisation -> Groups. From here, you'll be able create new groups. To do this, click "Choose Something" and choose a category you'd like to add e.g. Department. Hit "Add a group" and your group has been created!
You don't need to add items (subcategories) to these groups, as the items belonging to each group will populate automatically after your data upload. However, if you'd prefer to add user accounts manually, please read these helpful articles on Creating User Groupings and Adding Users to Mo.
Optional: Since you're here, you can Configure how data from these groups will be visible and used in Mo. For example, deciding whether a user's department or location should be visible in their profile. These groups can be used for filtering the feed and creating Lists.
2. CSV Uploading
We've broken this part down for you to make it a little bit easier to follow. Watch our quick tutorial video and then follow each detailed step below 😊.
Downloading your CSV Data Template
To download your data template, head to Manage Organisation->Bulk Upload Users. Click "Download Template".
Here you will see the fields you need to input, see below for information on required and optional fields.
Understanding the CSV Template Fields & Preparing Your Upload
Field examples and explanations (click to enlarge image) :
The template fields consist of:

manager (marked by TRUE/FALSE)
sso-uid (for SSO set up only, you'll need a unique sign on ID)
country (for customers using rewards, country will be required (marked as Alpha-2 codes e.g. US). If not specified, country will be set to GB by default.
language (If not specified, will be set to en_GB by default)
date of birth and employment start date (must be YYYY-MM-DD)
suspend (marked by TRUE/FALSE) - Note this will be FALSE for your first upload.
Groups - these consist of the groups you created in part 1 and their name will always start with group:Example. These fields include department, location, job title and division.
📢 Note - we support the below languages
en_GB - english
fr_FR - french
de_DE - german
pl_PL - polish

Copy and paste your data into our template, taking the fields above into consideration.
📢 The template is just a guide that we recommend using to avoid confusion on formatting. If you wish to upload your own csv file, the headers must match the template and your file must save as a .csv as below:
Upload Your Data
To upload your data, press "Upload New CSV", hit "Browse" and select the file you've created.
🚨Note - you'll have the option to suspend non included users, i.e. users that are NOT in your data. Leave this box unticked, as you don't need to suspend any existing users for your first data upload.
Go ahead and "Upload CSV" and you're all done! From here you'll be able to see the date, name and status of your upload.
📢 Note - Your upload may take up to 12 hours to validate.
After you've uploaded a CSV file, you may encounter an error if your spreadsheet isn't filled in correctly or is in the wrong format. If this happens, press "View" for more information on the error. Correct this error in your spreadsheet and start the upload process again. Visit our FAQ's article for more information on errors.
